i like dresses

I really do though. My sloppy at home outfit? A lightweight dress (or a skirt...pants are so bothersome)

I wonder if I can just get away with designing dresses and skirts (and I GUESS tops...I guess) for a little bit...Who thinks I can do it??

Ok so this is spurred on by the pictures I received this morning, even though it is all of them...and I know there will be alot more..but for now I have these two. The shoot was a lot of fun, everyone was having a really good time and joking around and all that jazz. I wish all photoshoots could be that way!

Sara the model was amazing..for real.

Um so the dress ACTUALLY matched the lightposts...but the photographer photoshopped them up so they're more tan. Oh well...I'm not him. Also the dress looks slightly bluer than it really is...it's a metallic grey and matches the darker fabric.

So this is just the beginning, I'll post more as I get them.

And just to let everyone know...I am SO happy to get photos and not have to photoshop them myself. I mean it's fine when I'm being picky but...when you're not..it's amazing

Now down to business, I know I talked about dresses for no reason, and here we go day 25 of 365...a girl with pants on! Meet Athenia, the second of the tweens

Normally I don't auto-tone my sketches, but if I didn't you wouldn't be able to see what was on her shirt...which is important..to me at least

I screenprint too (shaaaaaaaameless plugging..oh wait it's my blog! HA!).

Also, if anyone would like a commission of any sort (whether it be clothes or art) just let me know ;-)

last two days what?

Okay, so I realize I didn't post for the past two days. Wednesday I was a mess finishing up my clothes for the photoshoot, and yesterday was the photoshoot.


It was awesome..and I even got to see a good friend for a couple of hours before getting ripped off in a parking garage (..I'm not THAT bitter about it..ha...ha). Once I get the photos I will be posting them up. I saw some of them when we were taking them and they are AWESOME!


All right so even though this is technically Day 18, I'm counting this as a make-up of 16 and 17

Ok so Day 16 and 17 of 365, a work in progress (it'll probably be done tomorrow or Monday)

For those who have seen my portfolio you will soon recognize where these outfits are from. Hey I had some extra fabric left so it's what I used for the shoot. The dress on Evan (on the right) is one of the 2 dresses from the shoot. 

This will be a special treat when I'm finished....yes.

Sorry, no time for a real drawing today...and yes I know..I am aware today is the colored picture day. Well I'll give you 2 next week..how about that?


This dress is killing me...spent all day on it and didn't get anywhere really. So I've given up and I'm just going to go with my first idea...no point in stretching THAT out...

Ok seriously I could go on for days if you got me going, but I wont....so I decided to share with you one of my favorite performances of his. This was so hard to whittle down...because not only are there so many...they're all AMAZING


I love Michael Jackson, he literally is my favorite artist. So many focus on the latter part of his career and that's so wrong...look at his career as a whole and you'll be blown away

 It's comprised of this really awesome metallic fabric I saved from 2 years ago and chains...straight up hardware store chains.


Yesss.


I also apologize...it looked much better before I colored her hair...sometimes markers loathe me.

gah, creativity cramp

I've taken on a small project....one which I am delighted to participate in because I've never been approached for my work yet (kind of...depressing..*cough..anyway!)


So I'm making 2 (possibly 3) dresses for two photoshoots.


Yay!




...but then my brain shut down on 'cute' designs. CRAP! Idle brains really do stink...I was just getting back into the groove too..and I've hit a pothole.


I got at least one dress down..the other I think I'll have to make up as I go (ehh..)

If you couldn't tell this actually the girl from yesterday's post, Echo. I really like redheads, they're always very cute to me (well within REASON) and I think it's a crime that most of them have been told that they don't look good in red.
