Anyway, so all job prospects have been dumped into a stinking dumpster. Por que? Ha ha my 'boss' decides she doesn't want to contact me for a month and when I make the move to contact her and finally get in touch I find out that she's in Hong Kong (and then she sent me a nasty email saying she didn't need me anymore because I woke her up?! I didn't know you were in China you punk!). Thanks for letting me know. So it's back to square one *sigh

Ok...ok...ok so today I wont be posting the Piece of the Week (really...really gotta work on that title) I am so sorry! I've actually been kind of busy and I also got my internet taken away for a few days. I'm on my roommate's computer at the moment, but really it's a pain to run back and forth from my house to her mom's so I will just wait till next week to post. Don't worry you will see that skirt! I'll probably post it up midweek next week. THAT'S A PROMISE <3
Also, I'm having a tough time getting used to my sewing room....I think it's because I hate the color of the room (baby blue....ehh). I'll take a picture so you can see it but bleh. Time to stop by Lowe's and grab some paint chips!!!
Another project I am going to undertake is weaving! I learned it in school and instantly fell in love. I searched the internet and found a way to make a frame loom. Once I get some dough I'm going to make a 4'x6' loom
And one last thing. I normally don't like to talk about myself too much hear but I guess I would like some...help. I have a skin condition called eczema (fairly common) and I went to the allergist to see if anything I was eating could be causing problems....
.....Weeeell turns out I'm allergic to more foods than I thought. I'll save you the gory details but I have now become a vegetarian (who can't eat soy). So now I've been looking for recipes etc and I need a little help because well I was a hardcore omnivore till Wednesday.
So any recipes etc would be awesome my lovelies.
I'll post my progress here too....I dunno help other new vegetarians like me

beware the ides of maaaaarch
OH HO HO I'm back suckas.
Things have been....mm...crazy and I've done a lot of thinking about my life and such and you know sometimes it's better to not think.
Ehh, I'll get back to it eventually right? Yes.
Like I promised a couple months back I will post twice a week. On Mondays it will be a lovely drawing and on Fridays (or Saturdays) it'll be kind of a Make of the Week type deal. I'm challenging myself this Spring/Summer to make a garment per week some days will be a cop out (like if I make a shirt or whatever) but others will be spectacular. Um, I will be doing a variety of vintage remakes and original awesome makes. I'm kinda really excited about all this.
ARE YOU EXCITED? Cuz you should be :-)
Also definitely thinking I'm going to change the layout of the blog again....one can only look at that color of pink for so long. And this is from someone who is crazy about pink.

This is from my Spring Collection 'Sirens' here is Ms. Sadee wearing the latest fashions~
A bathing suit top and a chiffon skirt. I originally was going to make this and sell it on Etsy but my mother gave me an awesome idea of making it for myself. There have been plenty of times where I get complimented on something I made and it's kinda awesome haha. So I'll market myself that way till Fall when I'm getting serious (aka this summer). I will be making the skirt for the Item of the Week (I'm not good at titles...help?) the bathing suit top MIGHT come later haha....we'll see about that hahahahahahahaha..ahh..*clears throat.

fi-na-lly
I finally am working, well not for pay BUT it's work and experience and I cannot be mad at that. I am a Visual Merchandiser/Manager Marketing Executive Apprentice....I know, but it's going to be a lot of work and I am super excited to get started *rubs sleep out of eye
So sorry this blog has been neglected. In a few weeks I am going to begin posting at least twice a week, probably monday and friday. On Mondays it'll be illustrations and on Fridays it'll be a look of the week.

the south
I am writing this from a cafe, so if you're all wondering where I've been....I've been in Georgia for a little over two weeks now.
BUT I have no internet...boooo. We just so happen to live outside of many internet providers limits in the Atlanta area.
it's been rough...I take that back not having internet at every waking moment has been rough. But everything else has been great....awesome really. I'm slowly getting to know the area, and my friends friends. It was pretty awesome to come here and be anticipated. Everyone practically knew who I was! That was a good feeling.
I still don't have alot of furniture, so drawing and sewing are out of the question at the moment. I know alot of people were anticipating my debut....that I keep pushing back. Well....it's being pushed back till spring...again (I'm not excited about this fact, I was very pumped to get a line but I guess I just gotta put it up to circumstance right now...oh well)
There will be periodic updates until we get internet at the house which will hopefully be in a few months. During this time I will be drawing and designing....so I'll try to post those updates when I can.
I love you all and thanks for sticking with me during my absence, and shoot maybe cutting myself off cold turkey from the internet will help me a bit....though I will sadly admit I feel creatively cut off as well...but I'll get through it!!!

Uhm hi blog, how are you?
I am doing well. Sorry I haven't written in you for a while...I've been busy...and really hot. It's been hot outside and that makes me very distracted.
Friends! I'm moving in 5 days! 5 days! What the heck that came up way faster than I expected. Am I excited? Hell yes.
I've been quilting lately, because well I need something to pass the time, and it's been very time consuming. Why didn't anyone tell me this before? I was fairly ambitious, even after I eliminated some aspects of the quilt (like the appliqué...side note, google chrome just marked appliqué wrong because it didn't have the accent...all...right.) and it still took me 2 days to make all the squares...make that 4 days.
The quilt is a full size bed spread and I had to make 56 (well actually 50...I made 6 extra on accident!). I didn't have a lot of the quintessential quilting tools. Like the large cutting square (one that was 12x12...I really needed that!) a walking foot (it's ok I don't have enough room to do the proper quilting so I'm going to wait till I get to Georgia) and I so intelligently gave away my cutting mat!! But it's okay because, Walmart sells the huge mat for like 20 bucks which is so so cheap I'll probably get 2!
All in all this quilt is fun, I just hope it turns out decent...that's all I ask!
Back to moving....I'll admit I'm kinda nervous about the drive. It's about 2500 miles and I'm doing it by myself (with my turtles of course) and it's about 24+ hours of just driving. I'm confident that Kia will make it...I just have to get my wits about me. I'm pretty sure on the 7th I might panic a little but that's just my nature. I booked my first motel in Tuscon last night (one that got specific reviews about lone female travelers...God speaking to me? I think so). One surprise that made me knock myself on the head....I get to go to New Orleans! Heck yeah! French Quarter here I come. Sad side note....another oil spill? If I can see it I'll take photos..I was really hoping that the water would be clean.
Things I'm excited for when I move:
Fireflies
Mississippi River...and other rivers
the Atlantic...is the water really warm?! Unbelievable
Southern food in moderation
and of course my friends!!!
lastly...HAVING MY OWN SEWING ROOM AAAHHHH!!! YAY!
Also, obviously my 365 drawings are on hiatus due to the fact that I'm super busy and I am soon to have no internet or a scanner :-(, but I'll try and post pics along the way of my adventure across the U.S!
